Ricky Jones

Financial Advisor & Relationship Manager

Ricky Jones serves as a Financial Advisor at Advisor Resource Council, where he works with affiliated financial advisors and their clients. His role centers on something that matters in every advisory relationship: making sure people feel heard, informed, and supported throughout the process.

Ricky brings five years of financial services experience to ARC. Before joining the firm, he worked as a Financial Advisor with Financial Reserve, an independent financial firm. There, he met with clients, learned about their financial needs, developed financial plans, managed ongoing relationships, and communicated financial information in a clear and approachable way. He previously served as a Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual.

His career began well before he entered financial services. Ricky spent eight years with J.B. Hunt Transport, working as an Account Manager and Supervisor. The role required him to manage relationships, coordinate moving parts, communicate with different groups, and respond when challenges arose. That experience helped shape the practical, people-first approach he now brings to his work with advisors and clients.

At ARC, Ricky draws on both sides of his professional background. He understands the day-to-day responsibilities financial advisors manage because he has done the work himself. He also knows that a strong client experience often depends on the details, including timely communication, thoughtful follow-up, and a clear understanding of what each person needs.

Ricky’s approach to financial services is rooted in clarity. He believes clients should have the opportunity to understand the information being discussed and feel comfortable asking questions. In an industry with no shortage of choices, he values communication and education that help make financial conversations easier to follow.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in psychology from the University of Arkansas. His studies in finance gave him a foundation in financial concepts, while his psychology coursework deepened his interest in communication, behavior, and the personal factors that influence decision-making.

Outside of work, Ricky enjoys spending time with his wife, Olivia, and their two children, Leyla and Leo. He stays active through running, golf, and time outdoors. He also enjoys basketball, reading, traveling, and taking the kids to the pool. Ricky and his son, Leo, share the same birthday on March 16.
